Day 23
Above is a picture of the beautiful sky the day after the storm and my sweet girl with her scarf all wrapped around her. She looks so sweet...
For Jan. 22nd
Here is a picture of a field down the street that got flooded during the recent rainstorm. At the bottom of the frame is the drainage ditch that runs along the street- also full of water.

My Sleeping Beauty
Doesn't she just look so sweet? Makes me almost forget what a little terror she is when she is awake... *almost*.

Trash or treasure?
Day 13- A Winter Day
What is a winter day in Southern California? Why almost 80 degrees and sunny blue skies, of course! So my picture for yesterday is nothing spectacular, but it is the only one I manages to take, so it is what you get.

Day 11- A Beautiful CA Sunset
Here is my picture for yesterday. I got home late and wasn't able to get it posted, but hey- at least I took a pic! It is just a snapshot I took with my point-and-shoot at Lake Skinner last night. No editing at all, the sky looked like it was on fire!

Day 9- Reflection
So today's theme is reflection. Nothing abstract, deep and meaningful, or exciting today. Just a pretty little thang having a blast with mommy's red lipstick and a mirror. I remember when I was little- looking into the mirror and being amazed that my reflection did everything I did. Move my left arm- the girl in the mirror moved her right. Smile- and get a smile right back at me. I can only imagine what silly thoughts are going through her head as she looks at her own reflection (and I can't help but see quite a bit of myself in that little curly-headed girl in the mirror). And for fun- the last pic is one of me (taken by my mom) I am guessing I was close to K's age.

Well I saw the thing comin' out of the sky...
It had the one long horn, one big eye
I commenced to shakin' and I said "ooh-eee"
It looks like a purple people eater to me

Okay, so my picture today is pretty silly. And it doesn't have a horn. And has two eyes. And is made completely of candy. But that is what happens when I wait until the last minute to try to get my picture of the day. Tomorrow I will start earlier!!

Day 7-Kids these days...
Can't take their eyes off the damn TV! Todays picture is just a snap I took of Karina eating dinner tonight with her eyes glued to the tv. I guess I should've gotten up and turned it off, but instead I grabbed the camera.

These Are a Few of...
My Favo(u)rite Things! Today's theme is favorite things, so I am going to share a few of mine with you. First we have my favorite little subject holding one of her favorite things (a flower), with my favorite guy! Then there is one of my favorite material things- my Canon Rebel XT. I <3 my camera! That's why I am doing this challenge in the first place!

Where It All Started
My photo today (yesterday) is of my mom's old Canon film camera. She has always been into photography, and I guess I inherited that love of capturing lifes moments (and that must be how I ended up shooting with Canon too) . I'm a few minutes late posting this... I spent too much time playing around in Photoshop to try to get the look I was going for. More to come tomorrow (or today I guess). Goodnight all!Friday, January 1, 2010
Day 3- Payback and Booze

Here we are- day three of my 365 day photo challenge. I am very happy to be joined by some good friends who are also going to take the challenge! Good luck gals!
My first victim of the day- the cat who wouldn't stop bugging me. He couldn't find anywhere to lay other than my lap today, so I decided to return the favor and harass him for a bit. Doesn't he look amused? My Mikes Hard Spiced Apple was a willing subject (or at least didn't argue with me or run away), so you get a picture of that too. You can thank me later. Hopefully I will find something more exciting to photograph for tomorrow.
